• Our vision

Be with God. Be yourself. Be with friends

Be with God – where you can encounter an extraordinary God!

Woodside Church is filled with ordinary people who are in relationship with an extraordinary God! We have discovered God’s amazing love for us and are now joined with Him on mission; a mission to see unbelievers cross the line of faith and discover the transforming power of Jesus. Time after time we hear stories of God’s work in people’s lives – Jesus’ promise fulfilled; fullness of life.

Be yourself – where you can come as you are!

We want Woodside to be a place where you can come as you are! You don’t have to dress a particular way, live a particular way or even know your way around the Bible. We want people from all walks of life to see Woodside as a place to belong and a place for new beginnings. God has made us unique and has plans for us all. Become all that God has intended you to be.

Be with friends – where nobody stands alone!

Mother Theresa once said, ‘the most terrible poverty is loneliness, and the feeling of being unloved’ With the break-up of families and the erosion of community life tragically many today are feeling desperately alone. We want Woodside to be a place where you can find friends and become part of family; a place where burdens can be shared and gifts can be used, as we live life together. This life is particularly worked out in our Community Groups. From new-born babies to senior citizens, with all ages in between, hundreds of people from widely diverse backgrounds and representing many nationalities call Woodside their home.

Building Long, Building Strong

The phrase that best describes the essence of a biblical church is a ‘Community on a Mission’. Over recent months God has been urging us to both strengthen our community and to lengthen our mission. We have been particularly inspired by the verses in Isaiah 52, which says: “Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes.” In order to fulfill our vision we want to focus on the following areas:

To encourage and coach both new and existing leaders.

To release the necessary resources to support our vision.

To adapt the building in anticipation of future growth and development.

To continue to widen our mission activities: locally, regionally and internationally

To establish a Training Centre to equip and release people into their ministries.
