Hands Raised High

It was great to see Cath running up to the front at the end of worship a couple of weeks ago, amazed at what God has done! Here’s the story in full…
I had been experiencing pain and restricted mobility in my right shoulder, neck and arm since last Autumn and it had been getting progressively worse. It had been affecting my normal everyday activities and it meant that I could not raise my arm very far. About three months ago I started regular appointments with a physiotherapist who gave me exercises to do daily. However there hadn’t been much change and the physiotherapist was concerned about this, saying that if there was no improvement by my next appointment, she would have to refer me on.
On Sunday morning during the worship time, as usual, I was unable to raise my right arm very far in praise to God. But as we were singing “My heart will sing, no other name.”, I felt that I should kneel. I hadn’t been thinking about my arm at all, but as I knelt and sang I raised both my arms and knew that Jesus had healed me!
On the following Tuesday morning, I had an appointment at the hospital with the physiotherapist and I explained to her what had happened. She confirmed I had full mobility and that ‘something’ had happened, and was happy to discharge me. It’s been great to be able to do all those everyday tasks that I haven’t been able to do for so long. Thank you Jesus!
