Are you someone who wants to plant churches, multiply sites and reach new communities? Then the Multiply Conference is for you! Coming up later this year, it will run Friday evening and all day Saturday on 4th and 5th October, and is hosted at Woodside Church in Bedford. There will be times of worship, ministry, inspiring teaching and time to connect with others. We hosted our first Multiply Conference last year with delegates from around the UK and beyond, and are thrilled to have the opportunity to gather together and build on that success this year.
This year we have an exciting line up of speakers, bringing with them a wealth of wisdom into the whole area of how we multiply. Mike Pilavachi, church planter and senior leader of Soul Survivor Watford will be teaching, along with Simon Benham, leader of Kerith Community Church, Bracknell, a thriving multi-site church. Martin Tibbert, leader of Woodside Church in Bedford, which meets over two sites, will also be speaking and hosting the event. Here is a bit about them:
Mike pioneered Soul Survivor ministries, a charity that aims to equip young people to live their lives for Jesus, as well as pastoring the associated church; Soul Survivor, Watford. Mike speaks at conferences around the world, trying to make people laugh and point them towards Jesus at the same time. He has written a number of books, the latest of which looks at themes within the Bible. Mike enjoys cooking, watching The West Wing, tending his grape vines and competing with his mates over anything he can!
Simon is senior pastor of Kerith Community Church and has led the church on a journey of creating a “come as you are” culture. As a result, Kerith has significantly grown over recent years and now meets on 4 locations. Implementing this vision has given Simon a wealth of leadership experience, which goes along with an accessible and engaging teaching style. Married to Catrina and father of 3 children, Simon is also a supporter of Newcastle United. We all have our challenges…!
Martin’s first taste of multiplication was through church planting. Whilst based in St. Neots Cambridgeshire, he was involved in planting five churches in the UK. Martin now leads the team at Woodside Church in Bedford. Martin and his wife Dawn grew up in Bedford and have a genuine love for their town. Since picking up the reigns to lead Woodside – in 2012 – Woodside has grown and multiplied from one Sunday morning service to now running three services across two sites in Bedford. Martin has a passion to see Catalyst plant more churches, start more sites and reach many new communities in this nation and in the nations.
