Elder

David Devenish

As well as serving on the Eldership team at Woodside, David has an international apostolic role within NewFrontiers. David is also a prolific author. David is now retired but has worked for the British government, in international banking, and in Church leadership. David is married to Scilla and they have four grown up children.

Enson Thomas

Enson has worked as a Respiratory Consultant for many years while serving voluntarily as an elder at Woodside Church where he is appreciated for his pastoral and evangelistic giftings. He is married to Sunu and they have three adult children and two grandchildren.

Felix Oppong

Felix became an Elder at Woodside Church in February 2023. He and his wife Joyce, who is one of our Trustees, have three children and worship with our Putnoe congregation.

Hudson Ebenezer

Hudson is married to Vidya and together they have two children. Hudson has been an Elder at Woodside for many years and has joined our staff team as the Pastor with oversight of our Great Denham meetings. Hudson is also one of our Trustees.

Martin Tibbert

Martin is Lead Elder, a trustee and oversees our Sunday meetings at our Putnoe building. Martin has helped plant a number of churches and seen Woodside grow into a thriving multi-site church. He is married to Dawn who is a Specialist Nurse, and they have two grown-up daughters.

Tim Green

Tim has been an elder at Woodside Church for many years and is one of our trustees. Tim has a passion for seeing the next generation of leaders raised up. He is married to Cathryn and they have three adult children and four grandchildren.

Abi Boland

Abi is our Communications Assistant (Maternity Cover) and Executive Assistant to Martin Tibbert. Abi joined the team in December 2023, whilst Abbie is on maternity leave. Abi runs a Digital Marketing Business alongside this role at Woodside Church.

Abbie Stapleton

Abbie is our Communications Assistant, and currently on maternity leave. She joined the Woodside team in 2022. Abbie attends Open Door Church in St Neots and also runs her own product photography business.

Arshita is our Youth Worker Assistant (Leadership Track.) Arshita is an amazing asset to our Youth and Staff Team!

Brian Leeson

Brian is our Pastoral Coordinator. He joined the team in 2023. He has vast experience and skill in this area and will provide great support and pastoral care to the church.

Candy Crowe

Candy provides Administrative Assistance to both our Great Denham meetings and our Operations team. Candy and her husband Steve have been part of the Woodside Church family for many years and are members of our Great Denham community.

Dave joined the team in 2021 to take on the role of Project 41 and Safeguarding Administrative Assistant. Dave's role means that he has a vast knowledge of all the teams within Woodside and especially how we serve our local community.

Debbie joined the staff team at Woodside Church in 2019 as the Senior Operations Manager. Debbie is also a member of our Senior Management Team.

Gary Smith

Gary is our Buildings and Facilities Coordinator. Gary and his wife Christine have raised four children in Woodside Church and served in almost every area.

Lois Moore

Lois joined us in 2021 as our Children’s Work Manager and Putnoe Site Administrator. Lois is highly qualified & has a deep love for the local church.

Ollie Hearn

Ollie grew up as a member of Woodside youth before volunteering for several years as a part of the team. In 2021 he joined the staff team as our Youth Pastor and in 2024 he joined our Senior Management Team.

Sara is our Befriending Service Assistant. Sara has been volunteering on the Befriending team for many years, before this role, Sara worked as a Nurse.

Sharon Atkinson

Sharon joined Linking Lives Bedford as part of Woodside Church at the beginning of 2024. As our Befriender Service Co-ordinator, Sharon has decades of experience in supporting people.

Sue Dicks

Sue is strategically gifted and works as the PA to David Devenish. She has been a part of David's apostolic team for many years. Sue has been a key part of various Woodside teams over the years.

Kevin Smith

Kevin Smith is our Chair of Trustees. You can contact Kevin by emailing trustees@woodsidechurch.com.

Kevin is a Food Science Consultant, advising companies around the world on research and development. He has been a trustee for Woodside church for 20+ years, many of those as Chairman. He keeps an eye on the IT and Health & Safety areas for the trustees. Kevin is married to Wendy, and they have two adult sons - Martyn & Philip. They joined with the Putnoe congregation, and have been part the Woodside Church family for 43 years!

Andrea Thasan

Andrea trained as a Solicitor specialising in Child Protection and currently manages a group of Nursing and Residential Care homes across Bedfordshire. She reports to the Trustees on Social Action in the church including Project 41. Andrea is married and they have one son Joshua who is a drummer at church and is currently at university. Andrea worships at our Great Denham location currently but previously at Putnoe. She have been attending Woodside for about 16 years continuously but prior to that whilst a student at university.

David Hunt

Dave is a Scientist who works in Software Engineering. He manages research and development projects for products that are used in Designing and Simulating engineering systems. Dave report on the youth work, and supports the youth team at Powerhouse on Fridays. Dave is married to Helen and they have 3 adult children who grew up in Woodside. Dave and Helen is part of the Great Denham congregation, they have been part of Woodside since moving to Bedford in 1995. During that time, Dave and Helen have been involved in leading youth work, coaching youth and adult small groups, running adult small groups and being part of Alpha. Dave have been a trustee-director since incorporation in 2022.

Hudson is married to Vidya and together they have two children. Hudson has been a Trustee at Woodside since 2022 and joined our staff team as the Pastor with oversight of our Great Denham meetings. Hudson is also one of our Elders.

Joyce joined our board of trustees in 2021 bringing a wealth of knowledge and wisdom from her career in Education. Joyce is married to Felix and together with their three children they worship as part of Great Denham congregation.

Tim Green

Tim is retired having previously been full time on the Woodside pastoral staff for 25 years and prior to that was a senior school teacher in Bedford. Tim joined the trustee team in 2019, and currently doesn't have a particular area of Woodside that he reports back on. Tim is married to Cathryn and have three adult children and four grandchildren. They both worship with the Great Denham congregation and have been at Woodside for 30 years.
